Tucson Gem Show
We just returned from what we’re told is the country’s largest gem and mineral show. Read more here. Of course we couldn’t come back empty-handed. Some of what we brought back we’re actually not keeping. Check out the new additions in our Special Finds category in our Store.
Check Out Our New Gallery
With the arrival of our new larger kiln, we’ve been experimenting with larger pieces, slump molding, and casting. You can see some of our results in our new gallery. None of the items you’ll find in the gallery are currently for sale. They’re just there to show you the kind of work we do. However, inquiries are welcome if you see something that catches your eye. We always love special requests.
New Photos
As more of our items are added to our new storefront (and it’s lots more work than I expected, trust me!), you may notice a change in our photo layouts. We’re slimming down to one photo to speed page loading. We’ve also switched from taking individual photographs to scanning our work. It’s not a final change yet, but it is a lot faster, and compared to my photographic skills, seems to produce superior results. If you notice the difference, let us know what you think.
You may also notice that our descriptions are getting shorter. There are some who would say that’s a blessing! However, we’re finding that long descriptions take lots of time, and don’t add all that much to a good photograph. So, we’ll concentrate on quality pictures, and important information like measurements.
